Why should I book a room at the host hotel? Anticipated Room Block Pickup is a group of guest rooms that the hotel puts on hold at a specifically negotiated rate for our group. If Delta is unable to achieve its room block commitment because attendees are making reservations outside of the official room block or canceling/shortening their stay, the hotel charges the chapter an attrition fee to make up for its loss in anticipated room revenue per our signed hotel contract. Our chapter negotiated the best rate to ensure attendees were offered the most economical rate possible for their stay. By booking within the official room block, you help us avoid costly attrition fees and ensure we meet our contractual obligations.
