It is with great joy that I welcome Initiates of the Lambda Pi Chapter to our 50th Anniversary member hub! This hub is your gateway to all the information you need for our milestone celebration. Take a moment to browse and become familiar with the site.
The Lambda Pi Chapter, chartered on June 18, 1974 by seven exemplary college students with support from a member at Ferris State University, has been integral to the Grand Valley State University culture and campus for half a century. Our members have consistently excelled as leaders, scholars, and distinguished alumni. We are the first Black Greek-lettered organization and the first sorority chartered at Grand Valley. "We are trailblazers and we are the standard."
That's why as I reflect on our rich legacy, I am honored to serve as the 50th Anniversary Chair. And, I excitedly invite you to return to the place where we all pledged our lifelong commitment of sisterhood, scholarship, service and social action. Register and join me and others from October 31 - November 3 for an unforgettable weekend experience.
Come and plan to immerse yourself in every facet of this golden celebration, honoring our legacy and the remarkable impact of our chapter's past, present, and future. We will honor our charter members, reconnect and fellowship with one another, participate in a service project, recognize our inaugural Lambda Pi endowment scholarship recipients, and other notable activities.
